As You Like It - Eugene

Rope 101 & Negotiations

3/5/23

We will start with a basic understanding of where not to place the rope by pointing out major nerves in our bodies. Then we will demonstrate and take some time for everybody to learn and practice single and double-column ties. While we are building our confidence in our single and double columns ties we will discuss negotiations. We will define the term together and share our best practices to create honest and healthy negotiations. We will talk about how to look into ourselves for limits, the difference between fantasy and reality, and much more. Our goal is that at the end of the class, you will know how to confidently tie a single and double column, the highest-risk places to place rope, how to complete nerve checks, and have a good understanding of what negotiations are and how to start them with your partner/s.

Please bring a 30-foot-long rope (jute or hemp) and your own safety sheers. You may purchase this before the workshop.

Rope Bondage 102:

Harnesses

1/15/23

This class is the sequel to our previous class here at As You Like It, where we learned about single and double columns, nerves, and how to immobilize our partners. If you did not attend our previous class you can still attend Rope Bondage 102, but you will need to know how to tie a single and double-column tie. If you wish to catch yourself up please watch all videos in this youtube playlist.

This class is open to partners and singles.

In Rope Bondage 102 we will be building our rope bondage foundational skills. While learning basic chest and hip harnesses we will be dissecting hitches and practicing tension. You will be able to take these skills, and a little bit of trial and error, to start creating numerous additional ties. We will also continue our discussion.

Required materials: safety shears and your own rope. Both are available to purchase at As You Like It.
