Everyone who attends our private events must be vetted.
Below I have added the information I send to everyone interested in our private events. Please read it through and it will tell you what to do next. Please let me know if you cannot make it up during the times listed.
Vetting is a process where you will meet with Mx. Knotty face-to-face and have a short conversation. Mx Knotty will share a list of questions, rules, and etiquette of the class and will simply work with you to get to know you. This way she can get a sense of people, if she gets a bad feeling from someone, she might ask for another meeting or simply decide not to invite them to class.
We are committed to creating a safe space and vetting is one of the most important steps we take in ensuring everyone at our events is also dedicated to being safe. Another way we ensure safety is by keeping people accountable for their violations inside and outside of class.
If you want to keep being invited back, we require respect for the space and respect for everyone else in the group. We maintain the authority to deny anyone access if they have committed a consent or safety violation inside or outside of class.
Mx. Knotty holds vetting at her work, As You Like it - A Love Revolution, in Ashland. She welcomes anyone to come Saturday - Sunday 12:00PM - 8:00PM & Tuesday, 2:00PM - 7:00 PM to get vetted.
When you arrive, let an employee know you are there to get vetted for the Rope Bites and they will know what to do. If those times do not work for you let me know, and we can work something out.
An appointment is not required but it is nice to know what day you plan on coming.
What happens after I am vetted?
During your meeting with Mx. Knotty, she will write down your Name, Email, and Phone number. We never share this information with anyone in or outside of the class!
If you have been accepted into the group, you will be placed on the vetted and notification list. So when we send out class reminders or other updates you will be included.
